November 2023

Thanking our current and future supporters for changing lives in Haiti!

The Haitian people are resilient and strong in the face of adversity, which is always inspirational to me. At Haitian Homes For Haitian Children, our mission is to provide a brighter future for our students and their families, and we couldn't do it without the unwavering support of our generous donors. Today, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who are making a difference in the lives of Haitian children.

Your donations have been the cornerstone of our efforts, allowing us to keep families together. Through your generosity, we have been able to provide education, nutrition, healthcare, and spiritual care, all of which are essential for these children to thrive.

It's not just about the financial support; your belief in our mission and your ongoing prayers for the people of Haiti are a source of inspiration, too. Your trust in our organization encourages us to continue to reach more children and to make a lasting impact on their lives. Our Staff in Haiti works diligently, going above and beyond to help our students and their families, with compassion and great care. Lastly the Board of Directors, which is made up of volunteers, brings business expertise and personal knowledge of the Haitian culture to fulfill the mission. Together, we are building a foundation of hope, and every dollar you contribute brings us one step closer to achieving our goals.

As we express our gratitude, we also renew our commitment to this cause. We will continue to be good stewards of your donations, ensuring that they are used to provide the best possible care and support for the children who depend on us. Together, we are making a difference that will be felt for generations to come.

With Gratitude,

Nancy Coker Executive Director and President &
The Board of Directors of Haitian Homes For Haitian Children

A Note from Nancy, HH4HC Executive Director

Dear sponsors, donors and friends,

Giving Tuesday is November 28 th , and it kicks off “Blessing Baskets” as our last 2023 Fundraising Campaign. This year, we will focus on food items for our families in Haiti and personal care items for each student. The food will include rice, beans, spaghetti, oil, sugar, and corn meal. The personal care items will be age appropriate and include combs, toothbrushes, washcloths, etc.

According to a 2023 United Nations report, nearly half of Haiti’s population experience acute food insecurity. We know good nutrition has a positive impact on a student’s ability to learn. Staying healthy and avoiding illness through cleanliness, are important as well. Nearly half of Haiti’s population are experiencing high levels of acute food insecurity, according to a 2023 United Nations report. As we know, good nutrition has a positive impact on a student’s ability to learn, and of course, staying healthy and avoiding sickness through cleanliness are important, too.

Our staff will purchase the food locally in Jeremie, and we will purchase the personal care items here in the U.S. and ship them to Haiti. Our goal is to raise $7500, which will cover the food boxes for each family and the personal care kits for each student.

Will you join us in this season of giving and sharing with those in need by prayerfully considering a donation to our Blessing Baskets? Details for donations will be sent out prior to Giving Tuesday, November 28th.

Blessings,
Nancy Coker, Executive Director and President
