The organization was established in 2012 by our founder, Jane Carney. Jane had made many visits to Haiti for medical missions in her profession as a pharmacist. In her passion to help the people of Haiti, she acknowledged that many children were economic orphans, because their parents did not have the resources to take care of them. When she asked Haitians how to help them, the overwhelming response was to help keep families together, through support for education and health care. Haitian Homes For Haitian Children was started by soliciting sponsors to provide monetary support for better education through Christian schools and health care. In the past 11 years, it has grown from 7 children to 121 children ranging from preschool to college age.
